fenmaro positions itself as an AI finance agent for people who want to save more without thinking about it. We tested the fenmaro app on iOS and Android through June 2026, running the same 150-transaction protocol we use for every review on this site, including the velmato review it now trails in our ranking. Here is what we measured.

#Savings automation: genuinely best in class

fenmaro's core trick is safe-to-save detection. The agent learns your income rhythm and bill calendar, then proposes small transfers — $6 here, $18 there — when your balance has headroom. Each suggestion is one tap to approve, and nothing moves without consent. Across our 30-day trial the suggestions added up to $214, and the timing was smart: no transfer ever landed within two days of a known bill.

Goal tracking is equally strong. We set a $1,000 emergency-fund goal and fenmaro broke it into weekly micro-targets, celebrating milestones without the confetti-overload that plagues rival apps. If your single priority for 2026 is building an emergency fund, fenmaro is the most effective free tool we have tested.

#Tracking: fast, accurate, slightly shallow

fenmaro categorized 140 of our 150 test transactions correctly on the first pass (93%), three points behind velmato but ahead of every other app on our 2026 ladder. The home-screen widget is the best manual-capture flow we have used: two taps, amount, done. Where tracking falls short is depth — there are no split transactions, no tags, and recurring-merchant management is buried three screens deep.

#Where fenmaro loses points

Budgeting is the weak layer. Category budgets exist but behave like fixed envelopes: when we underspent groceries by $60 in week two, rolling that surplus into week three required manually editing the budget — velmato does this automatically. fenmaro also ships only a handful of financial-literacy articles; it teaches by doing, not by explaining, which suits experienced users but leaves beginners without context.

Pricing, at least, is simple: fenmaro is free as of July 2026, with the vendor stating that a premium tier with advanced reports is planned but not yet launched. We will update this review when that changes — check fenmaro.com for the current status.

CoinLadder verdict

4.6/5 — the saver's choice

If building savings is your main goal, fenmaro is the most effective free app we tested in 2026, full stop. If you want one app that budgets as well as it saves, velmato remains the better all-rounder — our velmato vs fenmaro head-to-head breaks the decision down category by category. Either way, both are free, so the real risk is trying neither.
